Luyuan Fang, PhD

Dr. Luyuan Fang is the CEO, President, and Founder of Curative AI, Inc., where she is building an AI-native operating layer to transform healthcare revenue cycle management and clinical operations. Under her leadership, the company achieved cash-flow positivity within its first yearโ€”without raising external capitalโ€”an uncommon milestone for an early-stage AI company.
A serial entrepreneur and industry leader, Dr. Fang has built and scaled AI organizations from the ground up and delivered production-grade AI platforms at massive scale across multiple industries.
In healthcare, she served as Chief AI Officer at Change Healthcare (acquired by Optum/UnitedHealthcare for $13.5B), supporting one of the largest healthcare financial and administrative networks in the United States, processing approximately 50% of all U.S. claims. She led the rapid development of AI-driven RCM solutions, including a denial management system delivered in five months that drove significant operational and financial impact at scale, as well as InterQual AutoReviewโ„ข, which reduced operational costs by 75%.
In the prescription drug market, as Chief AI and Data Officer at Prescryptive Health, she deployed AI solutions across a nationwide network of more than 50,000 pharmacies and millions of consumers. Her work in AI-driven pricing fundamentally redefined traditional pricing models, delivering measurable value to both the business and end users.
In the global travel marketplace, she founded and led Expedia Group AI Labs, supporting all 14 Expedia brands and over a billion search transactions daily. She built and commercialized the industryโ€™s first transformer-based AI travel chatbot, which automated over 90% of customer service inquiries and fulfillment tasks.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Fang held senior technical and leadership roles at Microsoft Azure, eBay, Cisco Systems, and AT&T. At AT&T, she helped develop one of the first large-scale IP/MPLS networks and virtual private network servicesโ€”foundational innovations that continue to underpin modern internet infrastructure and remain among the most successful and enduring services in the industry. She holds 10 U.S. patents in distributed systems and networking, including innovations in large-scale cloud networking at Microsoft Azure and software-defined networking technologies at Cisco.
Dr. Fang is a recipient of the 2025 Asian American Entrepreneurial Achievement Award and was recently named an Entrepreneur Of The Yearยฎ 2026 Mountain West finalist by Ernst & Young, recognizing her leadership, innovation, and impact in advancing the future of AI in healthcare.
