Artificial intelligence is entering a new phase. Organizations are moving beyond experiments and pilot projects, but many still face difficulties turning successful AI initiatives into large-scale business transformation.
AI is delivering measurable value, but scaling remains a major challenge. According to BearingPoint’s 2026 global study of 1,050 senior executives across 13 countries, nearly three-quarters of organizations that have implemented AI reported measurable top-line or bottom-line impact. However, only 13% had scaled their initiatives fully in line with the original business case. Complex regulatory frameworks and legacy-system integration were among the most frequently reported barriers.
Moving beyond AI pilots
The findings show that AI is already creating measurable value, particularly through efficiency and cost reduction. Around 24% of companies reported AI-driven cost savings of at least 10%, compared with 4% reporting revenue growth of the same scale. This suggests that many organizations are gaining operational benefits from AI before achieving wider commercial growth.
The next priority is to move from individual use cases to integrated, enterprise-wide systems. This will require organizations to improve their data foundations, modernize legacy technology and prepare employees to work effectively with increasingly autonomous AI tools.
Overcoming barriers to scale
Scaling AI involves more than selecting the right technology. About 40% of respondents identified legal and regulatory requirements as the main barrier to expansion, while 34% pointed to difficulties integrating AI into existing IT systems. These challenges make governance, cybersecurity, infrastructure and responsible deployment essential parts of every AI strategy.
Agentic AI will make this need even more important. As AI systems take on more complex tasks and make decisions across business workflows, organizations will need clear accountability, human oversight and reliable methods for monitoring performance and risk.
Why AINext US 2027 matters
AINext US 2027 will bring together AI leaders, enterprise decision-makers, researchers, investors and policymakers to examine how organizations can deploy AI at scale. The conference will focus on agentic AI, enterprise transformation, AI infrastructure, governance, ethics, security and practical business applications.
The event will also address the gap between AI ambition and operational readiness. While organizations are making progress in adopting AI, deeply embedding these technologies across business operations remains a significant challenge.
AINext provides a platform for discussing how organizations can close this gap. Participants will be able to exchange practical insights, explore emerging technologies and learn how businesses are building scalable and trusted AI systems.
A global AI conversation
AI adoption is developing at different speeds across major markets. China and the United States reported higher levels of comprehensive implementation than Germany, reflecting differences in investment, infrastructure, regulation and business readiness. These variations make international knowledge-sharing increasingly valuable for organizations developing their AI strategies.
The Las Vegas edition will provide a setting for examining how AI is being applied in real-world business environments. Conversations will focus not only on what AI can do, but also on how organizations can implement it securely, responsibly and at scale.
